Customer is with the police officer
If the customer is with the officer, verify data protection then we can give out any information asked for only. Do not offer additional information which hasn't been requested.
Customer is not with the police officer
If a named driver is driving the vehicle at the time then complete DPA with them and confirm if there is any cover on the vehicle. For any further policy details ask the police officer to send us a Form 81 data request.
If the officer is calling without the customer/named driver, we have no way to verify them as a genuine caller so would be very limited in what we can share so would be best to ask that they email request for info into us. This comes in on a Form 81 and we can also see the email has come in from a PSNI email address. This can be emailed to hello@strollinsurance.co.uk
Managers should then be able to supply the information requested. If there are any unusual requests for information outside of normal policy info refer to compliance.
We should always stick to supplying what is requested and avoid giving more without the specific request.
