Group Clear Desk Policy
The Company recognises the risk of unauthorised access to customer data on employees
desks, whether malicious or otherwise. Therefore, the Company expects all employees to be
mindful of the accessibility and security of information on their desks and the availability of
such data whilst not at their desks, particularly overnight and at weekends.
The Company operates a ‘clear desk’ policy, which means that;
- No client details should be visible on your desk overnight or whilst the office is not occupied
(except in the event of an emergency evacuation).
- At the end of the working day your desk should be sufficiently clear to allow cleaners access
to clean it.
- Any software (with the exception of the computer’s operating system) should be
appropriately closed and screens should be locked.
Please remember
- Lock your screen while your computer is not in use, i.e. going to lunch, on break etc
- Customer bank details/card details cannot be written down (paper, emails, teams) under any circumstances.
